Increase Bandwidth to see all cars in multiplayer:

Nascar 2003 Folder - Core Configuration settings

Name Cars and File Naming:

In order for all EDD drivers to see your car, you must pick the same car in Multiplayer, with the same filename as the one you have sent out to be uploaded to the site for other drivers to download.  Cars should be file named as such for each car, each division, for every driver.

CUP_98_Smokey      (Cup Division)

BGN_98_Smokey     (Busch Division)

CTS_98_Smokey     (Truck Division)

LM_98_Smokey    (LM Division)

MOD_98_Smokey     (Modified Division)

TCR_98_Smokey      (Team Concept Division)

DEMO_98_Smokey  (1970's Derby Division)

To Find your car file to send for upload, also, this is where to download your cars to.  Make sure to download the correct car to the correct series file  (such as Cup, CTS, Etc.)

Importing and Exporting a car file into a TGA.

You cannot work on, alter, or paint the game ".car" file.  The .car file must be converted to a Targa (tga) file for paint programs to recognize it.  When working with Targa files, please remember to bring the resolution back down to 512 x 512 pixels at 72 DPI.  Most templates use 1024 x 1024 at 72 DPI.  This is excellent to give you better editing control in your paint program, but is not effective in the game, and causes large file sizes and slower frame rates for players.  After editing at a higher resolution, please  reduce the size of the TGA to 512 x 512.  There will be NO lose of detail in the game of your car whatesoever.

To Find tga file in your NR2003 folder:

Saving Replays

For Technical Inspections, you must save at least one lap and send to Head Admin within designated time frame.

To Find your replay to send to Admin:

\Setting Graphics and Frame Rates:

Game frame rates should always be over 30 FPS.  Adjust your graphics accordingly.

For computer systems running NR2003, the following is recommended for your computer:

Max out the RAM in the Machine

at least 256 MB Video or Graphics Card.

Use our END-IT-ALL program to stop all programs that could interfere with bandwidth.

Setting Graphics...suggested settings for EDD Racing.  Smoke and Skidmarks are strongly suggested

Setting Sound recommended.  Use maximum track sounds as this is one of the critical senses in the game.

Here is the recommended steering assist for new drivers (and some old ones too)

If you drive cockpit, then set these wheel buttons or keyboard keys to look left and look right.

Screen Shots

Taking a screen shot of the game, finding it, and converting it in a paint program

\At any time while in NR2003 game, if you want a screenshot of exactly what appears on your screen, set up shot, and hit the "PrintScreen" key on your keyboard.  Then you will find a TGA file at this location with these file names right in the main NR2003 folder.  You can make as many as you like, but the next time you start up the game, every picture will override the old names starting with 001.  So pull those pictures out to another folder each time you close game to save them.
