Race back to line
- Please use sense – if we see guys showing
absolutely no regard for the wreck and safety, there
will be warnings, then penalties
- IF A CAUTION COMES OUT IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE GREEN
FLAG, AND ALL DRIVERS HAVE NOT TAKEN THE GREEN, WE
DO NOT RACE BACK TO LINE. When this
happens, if you pass for position, you will likely
get a black flag for passing under yellow – that’s
how NASCAR used to do it anyway.
We will not clear black flags
- You must pit under green to clear blacks
- If this puts you a lap down – 99% of time it’s
an error of judgment which caused the black flag.
Lucky dog rule will be NOT be in effect for
2007 trucks.
- NASCAR started giving Lucky Dog because they
stopped racing back to line
- A decision was made to either not race back or
dissolve the Lucky Dog rule. Racers have spoken and
Lucky Dog is running with his tail between his legs.
You have every right (and are encouraged) to try
and get your lap back during restarts
- If you don’t pass the leader right away, DO NOT
hold up the folks in second, third, etc. Go high or
go low depending on track unless racing for
position.
Gentleman’s rule should be practiced by all.
If you are the leader at the caution flag and
there is a lap down car – If it will not affect you
or others, consider letting them by to get lap back.
NO restarts once the green flag has waved.
All racers MUST use Ventrilo
-The following chat rules will be in effect:
- No chatting at all during race. We will warn,
give final warning, then black flag if not followed
– This means no chat….no “sorry”, “thank you”, etc.
- No chatting during cautions until the fields is
straightened out unless it has to do with where you
are supposed to be on the track
- DO NOT chat immediately after a caution
– Keep quiet until the field is settled.
-No chat on one to go lap
- No chat about anything other than the race at
hand
-During PRACTICE you are encouraged to move to
another channel if you need to have a lengthy
discussion with another racer about ANY subject
-If you have an issue with a driver or admin,
bite your tongue and talk it out after the race with
the driver or an admin away from the Ventrilo race
server – this is a GAME and it’s meant to be FUN as
well as competitive.
It is a privilege to race in this series – If
you do not follow this simple rule, you will be
warned, than you will be ejected.
We will be following the Nascar Cup Series as
outlined by NASCAR for 2007. Each race will be
held the following Monday of the NASCAR Cup
race.
Server will be up at 7:30pm EST for practice the
night of the race.
Drivers meetings will be at 9pm EST sharp
–We will try to keep within 10 minutes of this
time for late arrivals – but you must let someone
know that is racing that you will be late
Qualifying will be 5 minutes after Drivers
Meeting or at 9:15
- New guys, we strongly encourage starting at the
back for your first couple races to get a feel for
racing with EDD. This is not mandatory…
5 minute happy hour after qualifying
Race starts no later than 9:25
If you make one of the first five races, you
will be eligible for 50 provisional points for each
race you miss during regular season.
There will be a 20 car
race for the chase the last 10 races of the year.
Each Chase participant will be seperated by 5 points
in their respective order to 20 cars.
All new Car files must be available for
download 2 days prior to race.
The number you start the season with in CTS,
Cup and Late Model must stay the same throughout the
entire season. If you change paint, we
encourage you to stay with the same general paint
scheme so other racers can easily recognize you on
the track.
Caltech will be
alternate admin for this series if Smokey or Movin-Target are unavailable
This will be a TROPHY season. First, Second
and Third places will be honored with a trophy –
Winners pay shipping.
We will also be honoring additional racers with
plaques for the following, voted by the racers:
- Pole Award- Most poles in the season.
- Rookie of the Year – must race 1 of first 5
races to be eligible and new to CTS EDD
- Hard Charger
- Hard Luck
- Most Improved Driver
- Good Sportsmanship
- Best Looking Car
There will be a season ending banquet to be held
on Ventrilo. Details at end of season.
If the server has any issues continuing the race,
that race will be re-scheduled to an open week in
the schedule
